Friday the 13th
It is believed that FRIDAY THE 13TH is an unlucky day. Buildings number floors from 12 to 14, skipping the 13th floor all together.
The Day Jesus Was Crucified?
Some Christians believe that Friday was the day Jesus was crucified and because of having 13 people at the Last Supper, this just added to the belief.
There are 12 moons in the year and 12 tribes of Isreal, so the number 12 is considered lucky.

Roots in Norse Mythology
Loki, the most terrifying of the norse Gods went to the banquet hall of the gods. Only 12 were invited, but because of Loki's presence, this made the number 13. Loki tricked Hod, the blind brother of the God Balder, God of light and joy. Loki made Hod throw a piece of mistletoe at his brother. Since this was the only thing that could harm Balder, he died because of loki's actions.
The ship HMS Friday was launced on a friday. It disappeared without a trace soon afterward.<

Do All Dogs Go To Heaven

I've put a lot of research into finding out if animals really do go to Heaven. With the sad look in my daughters eyes (not to mention others I've seen.) I HAD to find this out. I've researched with a lot of people including Mormons, Rabbi's and psychics and I am absolute in my answer.
DO ANIMALS GO TO HEAVEN?
Well....sort of.
You see, most religous people I talked to, not to mention the Bible, supported my theory that when GOD made animals, they were basically here for either food or companionship. Along the way, we've intregated them into helping the handicapped, law enforcement and even rescues. It seems hard to think that when they die, that's it, their gone.
Suddenly it hit me that I have heard stories of people seeing ghosts playing with balls, toys and even pets. I then went back to the Bible. I started out towards my answer with the question:If you were in Heaven and truly missed your pet, would you be sad?
Heaven (or the otherside, whichever you believe in) is supposed to be bliss. You have everything you want. Psychic Echo Bodine noticed that when she asked two children where they got their ball, they said the just wished for it. After a little more reading, I came to the following conclusion:
That if you want your pet to be there, then he'll be there!
When on the other side, you don't want for anything, therefor, wanting your pet there, "creates" your pet.
So, there you have it. Do all dogs go to Heaven?
Only if you want them too.

No such thing as Demons

I've been asked once or twice whether I believe in Demons. Being a religious person, I can honestly say‚
I used to.
The olden days are filled with descriptions of demons; violating the lands and making people do strange, mysterious things.
First, we have to keep in mind that back then, you believed what the church told you or it was "Off with your head".
We also have to understand that mysterious things could have been no more than a simple magic trick like "pulling a quarter out of your ear", the old "removable thumb trick and the ever popular "Pull my finger".
The more I've researched and studied, the more I've come to the conclusion that they're aren't demons,
not any real demons anyway.
Renowned psychic Echo Bodine said that in all her years of “Ghostbusting", she has never run into a demon, yet, she has run into vile, evil spirits. These spirits are basically the “essence" of what they were in real life. On one recorded case, a spirit dressed all in black with red eyes tried to push her down a flight of stairs. She found out that the ghost had crushed kittens'skulls in and frightened the owners so badly that they left the home. This is of course, exactly what the ghost wanted. He believed SO strongly that this house was his; he didn't care what he had to do to get the people to leave.
Think of being a ghost with the example of drinking alcohol. It heightens what were your were, so that when you die, you retain the "soul" of who you were. If you were evil, that evil comes through. It comes in even stronger when you realize the powers you have after your death. Imagine you want people out of your house. You're 5 feet tall, about 80 pounds with a face full of pimples. Not very intimidating, is it?
But, now your ghost. People can't see you. You can make things move without them knowing. You watch them sleep. You watch them eat...
and you HATE them for being there. What would you do?
Some evil spirits may not be that at all. Psychic Jon Edwards said, "Don't be afraid. Just because things move and your lights flicker it may not be a mean spirit. It could be your Uncle Lou and that's the only way he can get your attention is to say, “Hey. I'm here. He's not mean at all.
In my research, I have seen pictures of things that I could only describe as being 'not of this world'. What these could be are not demons but still people. The changes they have gone through. Some spirits could be wondering the earth for days, some years. Some spirits are even centuries old. Imagine the wear and tear on what soul you have after that long.
An example would be, a smoker. Notice the changes people go through when they smoke. Their hair gets darker, their skin gets darker, things around them start to smell and corrode. This is what evil can do to the spirit.
(This message brought to you by Phillip Morris. Because we care.)
Perhaps even some weren't that way in the beginning. A botched ritual, a miscast spell could also warp the soul that was supposed to be brought back. Maybe the soul didn't want to come back and the forcing of it stretched the soul from the afterlife.
So when I'm asked if I believe in Demons, I say no. But...I do believe in the evils of man.

The following is part of an article which shows another view of Parapsychology from Russia.

Moscow Area Paranormal Investigation Society
IGHS member, Lt. Col. James L. Choron, Chief Executive Officer, Moscow Area Paranormal Investigation Society (Moscow, Russia) sent us (International Ghosthunters Society)a copy of their pamphlet that his organization gives to new investigators. He has given permission for some of his material to be shared in this newsletter (which I have copied from MY newsletter to here). Jim has shared one of their local ghost story about the haunted apartment he lives in that we featured in a prior edition of this newsletter. His organization is made up of active law enforcement and military personnel and reserve members of the military. His organization, Angels of the Battlefield, has as
one of their mission objectives the location and recovery of the remains of soldiers missing from their country's. They have actually found several sets of remains, in isolated areas that were battle
sites. The discovery of the remains and their proper burial ended the hauntings being investigated in those areas. The following are from extracts from "So you Want to be a Ghost Hunter?" by Lt. Col. James L. Choron. "So you're new at this? Well, everybody starts somewhere. You
want answers? You're looking for an `expert' to teach you how to `hunt ghosts'? Well, I've got some very bad news for you. In the field of Paranormal Investigation (We're much more than `GhostHunters'), there simply is no such thing as an expert. True, there are people who have been involved in the field for a long time, and
all of them have techniques that they use, because they have found them to be effective, still, we are all learning. Paranormal Investigation is nothing like what you have seen on television, or in the movies. It is a learning process. While we all hope for the day in which it will be an exact science, and accepted as such, that day is not yet, and is most likely a long way off. At the moment, we are
still faced with the "Art of the Possible". It is people like you, who are just now entering the field . . . who will take the knowledge
and experience of those who have gone before you, and help to transform our pursuit into what it should become, a science. Perhaps this will not come in any of our lifetimes, but it will come, and each of us will make some small contribution to that coming." "I genuinely believe that our field is overrun with `wannabes'and `ghost buster' clones. Now, that is not saying that it's bad to
have an interest in the field for less than "professional" reasons, but, the investigation of the paranormal is long overdue to be included among the ranks of the "real' or "hard" sciences. What is lacking is very basic, and yet it seems to be the hardest to instill into those who show interest. First of all, there is more to investigation of the paranormal than just going to a `haunted house' and taking some neat `ghost pictures'. For an investigation to be valid, for it to carry any weight at all, it must follow established scientific procedure. Establish the case being investigated with in depth research and a trail of empirical evidence. All other possible
sources must be eliminated, before the case can even be legitimately investigated as a paranormal occurrence." Even then, we must maintain a scientific skepticism, which leads us to prove, by evidence and experimentation, that what we are
seeing is not a natural event. There are "laws" that govern the paranormal, just as there are laws that govern any other branch of science, and, the laws of the other branches of science apply,
equally, to the paranormal. If it appears that one of the basic laws of biology or physics is being defied by a paranormal occurrence, then, I propose that the law stands in need of revision, or some
addendum must be postulated. No one, not even Einstein, Teller or Oppenheimer claimed to understand every aspect of Relativity. No one
can make such a claim with any other field of study. And... one must remember... with relation to such established disciplines as Physics
and Biology, to name but two... the investigation into the paranormal is in it's infancy. We are only now lifting ourselves above the stage of being "parlor magicians", "mystics" and "fakirs". The "wannabe" and the "Horror Movie Fan" have no place in serious investigation of the paranormal. Don't get me wrong. I love a good horror movie as
much as anyone. But... I do not base my views of the paranormal on Hollywood and Hammersmith. Horror movies are entertaining. The paranormal is for real." Lt. Col. James L. Choron also suggest some ways to locate a site for conducting an investigation. How to Locate a Site to Investigate:
The location of a "good" site to investigate is not a matter of chance or luck. It is the culmination of dedicated and serious research. There are many ways to locate a promising site, the most
common are: Local stories about places which are "known" to be haunted. Newspaper and Media stories about "haunted" places in your area. Police and Fire Department records. Tips by friends and associates. City, County or Regional Historical Societies and Clubs. *Cemeteries are always a prime target for investigation. Generally speaking, the older the cemetery the better. Most local Historical
Societies maintain a list or a registry of cemeteries in the area, and the dates (usually approximate when dealing with extremely old
sites) of founding. Chambers of Commerce and Tourist Bureaus. Military District, Commandantura, Veteran's Organizations *These organizations will maintain a list of battlefields and sites
where military actions took place in your area THAT MIGHT NOT BE KNOWN TO THE LOCAL TOURIST BUREAU OR CHAMBER OF COMMERCE. This would include the sites of abandoned military installations, military
cemeteries, and such things as field hospitals. They also can provide you with (unclassified) maps of very high quality. *Since our organization contains a very high proportion of both active and reserve Military and Police personnel, we receive a great many "tips" from these people and their colleagues, both active duty and retired. Military, Police, Security, and Fire retirees are excellent sources of information, as, generally speaking, they have "heard it all". State or Regional Highway Departments *All such organizations can, and will provide, usually free of charge, detailed maps of city, state, province or region. Most of these maps list major historic sites and cemeteries. Older Relatives and Friends of your family. Senior Citizens in general. *Long term residents of any community are a wealth of information regarding local "legends" and "stories". The Internet *As odd as it seems, the Internet is an excellent place to look for unusual occurrences and reported hauntings in your area. There are a great many sites dedicated to the Paranormal, and most of them
maintain a directory of "haunted places". An Internet search for such a directory may be done through any of the major search engines by simply entering "Haunted Places" or "Ghost Hunters" (Regional Ghost Hunting and Paranormal investigation Groups generally maintain a list of "haunted places" which will contain locations not generally known to the larger, national and international groups.
