My 1st ghost
I will start with a quick story of my own.
My ghosts' name is Charlie. That's just what my parents named him. He had been with us a little before I was born. I wasn't totally aware of him until I was about 9 or 10. Strange creaks and moans were not unusual occerances with him, but the one thing he was famous for was leaving stacks of pennies in different places around the house. Every now and then you'd find a small stack of pennies on a dresser or counter. There were only 2 times I was afraid of Charlie. Once I was late for school. I sat my clothes on my bed, showered and hurried back to my room. When I got there, I could not find my clothes. I searched everywhere. There was no one to ask because both my parents had left for work and my brother was not born yet. I quickly found something else to wear and started to leave the house for school. As I reached over to finish making my bed, I noticed my pillow was higher than usual. I reached under it to discover my clothes. Nice and neatly folded under my pillow. A cold chill ran down me and I ran out of the to the bus.
The other time was in our knew house. I shared a room with my brother. I was about 14 now. I woke up one night about 2:00 a.m. I couldn't focus very well but noticed something on the wall. It was blearly probably due to my "morning eyesight" more than anything else. Suddenly, my metal detector, stored in my closet, went off very loudly. I ran over to the closet, my first thought was of course, I hope my parents don't get mad thinking I'm goofing around when I should be sleeping. I turned the knob to OFF but it was already there. I checked the battery compartment and to my surprise, there weren't any! At this time, my parents came in wondering what the high pitched squeeling was. I told them it was the metal detector but they didn't believe me. I showed them the battery compartment but they knew I was interested in ghosts so immediatly thought I was trying to "start something". That house always, every once in a while, gave me shivers so bad, I ran out of it and stayed outside until my parents came home. CLASS 2 POLTERGEIST (see: Classifications.)

Double Tree
I'm leaving the name of the place out for privacy reasons. The poltergiest here was rumored to be here for some time. I fell into this case because I ended up working here for a while. It would mainly just irritate people with closing doors or small sounds. Some said they saw "whisps" go by them every now and then, thoug the doors were closed in the area. One day a woman was hired (I'll call her Karen). Suddenly the poltergiest came into the "mail center". The manager said it never ventured that far, that it mostly centered in the main "customer service" area. I was present at more than one time when the stereo, sitting about 7 feet above the floor, suddenly changed radio staions. It would always change to a religeous station which I felt really strangly about. Another time, some electronic toys just started up on their own near Karen. She called another associate in, who also heard them.I took some electronic readings, also checking the wiring on the stereo and found nothing. I could not explain why any of the occurences happened, only that they would happen more around Karen. I have been keeping in touch every now and then but nothing else has seemed to happen that would warrent an explaination. CLASS 1 APPARITION/CLASS 2 POLTERGIEST (see: Classifications.)

This hotel, which used to be the Sheriton, was said to have loud, strange noises go off every Halloween on the top floor. I took the typical readings but didn't find anything strange. I'm thinking it's just a rumor. I questioned a couple of employees who said things DID happen at one time, but haven't heard anything for some time. The older workers said they heard noises too, but again, not for a while. CLASS 2 POLTERGEIST (see: Classification.)
